Our training approach
We collaborate. We take a partnership approach to campaign training, so having our clients’ brand ambassadors and field workers as part of campaign training inspires our team with a wealth of knowledge and insights.
This gives our team a unique understanding of the charity’s brand, their values and an understanding of how important their work really is, which makes their interactions with donors memorable and engaging. |
We adapt. We recognise that each Agent learns differently, so we inform our training with Honey & Mumford’s learning style theory and ensure training has visual, written, auditory, theoretical and action-based elements.
Combining techniques like role play, listening to good & bad call recording examples, training videos, infographics, presentations and buddying-up with experienced Agents ensure a rounded delivery which meet everyone's needs. |
We nail the basics.Compliance and ethics are at the very heart of everything we do at Angel. We have a comprehensive induction training program which ensures our team understand their role in delivering compliant and ethical calls.
We cover PCI DSS, the Fundraising Regulator, TPS, Protecting Vulnerable Donors, Appropriate Fundraising Techniques. We also conduct rigorous compliance tests on all new starters before they 'go live'. |
We visit. We take our team on excursions to get up close and personal to front line services and centres to give them invaluable first hand experience of the charity's work in action.
Whether it be a Guide Dog Puppy Training School, Animal Rescue Centre or Homeless Skylight Facility, this empowers them to make engaging and memorable interactions with donors based on their own experiences. |
We have infrastructure. We’ve got an amazing in-house training team who develop all our internal core training programs and work collaboratively with our clients to develop campaign training plans.
If a client doesn’t have the resources available to visit us, our infrastructure enables us to conduct ‘train the trainer’ visits to clients or to simply take full ownership of campaign training end-to-end. |
We refresh.Ensuring our team are up to date with the latest best practice, compliance and soft skills is crucial to maintaining the high levels of quality, ethics and compliance we promise.
We have a structured refresher training program which ensures every Agent’s knowledge is refreshed frequently and that they continue to learn and grow beyond their induction and campaign training. |
Our recent training visit to RSPCA's Animal Rescue Centre
We're delighted to have recently on-boarded the RSPCA as our newest client.
As part of our campaign training, we took a trip to the local RSPCA Animal Rescue Centre in Cornwall for a guided tour.
We were also lucky enough to be paid a visit by two RSPCA Inspectors, who shared their first-hand experiences in their role and they also talked about the wider work of the RSCPA.
Our team found the campaign training to be very insightful and rewarding, giving them the knowledge they needed to represent the RSPCA in an on-brand and confident manner.
"It was great to see the RSPCA Centre in action as I can confidently talk about what the RSPCA does now that I've seen it myself. In fact I had a call this morning asking whether the RSPCA rescues seagulls and I was able to reassure the caller that the RSPCA could help thanks to the training we received"
